Not the fastest GPU you can get today, but a workhorse for everyday 1080p gaming.

Solid GPU for a laptop, if you can get a good deal on a laptop. Came in a half price ($2800 normal) EVGA laptop, great performance for the value in a laptop.

Run AAA games 1080p maximum, at 60~80 fps. High or medium option can drive thru 144fps, for who with 144hz monitor. Today, 2070M or 3060M is recommended as this have almost identical price atg.

Fantastic card for medium sized laptops with very good overclocking potential. This card remains relevant as a high end GPU for 1080p performance even in 2019.

Alienware 17 R5 (83.5%): I personally own this GPU and have hit the 100th percentile multiple times with an underclock to 1797Mhz, an undervolt to .875v, and a custom fan profile that somehow improves FPS, so I'll give my opinion. First off, this is definitely a 1440p capable card, as I can run anything at 2k ultra no matter what I throw at it. If you have a 1080p monitor, this card will handle that resolution with no problem. In terms of heat, it doesn't really get that hot to be honest. The highest I have gotten with this GPU is 73C. Keep in mind that this is the highest, which is more than fine for a laptop. Overall, this was a very good investment, and I would still recommend this card in 2020.
