great aging gpu can run games like days gone or gta5 at medium-high settings keeping 70-80fps

Terrible

People say it's a pretty bad card for today's standards, but I can get 60-90 VR gaming with around 1080P resolution on most VR games like Beat Saber and Job Simulator. Normal gaming kills like a beast as well, with up to 250 fps in Minecraft and around 50-60 on more GPU-consuming games, you really don't need much better than this for gaming these days, unless you are doing raytracing, ultra settings, and super high resolution and FPS.

Good for your first Build, will run AA games at high settings and AAA ones on medium. I would choose the 1050 ti tho for that extra VRAM (4gb instead of 2) and the extra CUDA cores (~750 instead of ~640)

I have a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 OC edition, and it runs Minecraft very slowly. I don't know if it is because it is bottlenecking because of my 2013 Xeon, but it sucks.

It's an OK graphics card. I can run pretty big games like just cause 3 and 4. But struggles a little more with online games like fortnite and roblox

in my opinion a gtx 1050 is a really good graphics card every game i play i can play pretty smoothly on high-ultra settings and i would get in the 40s and 50s and sometimes even the 60s

Nice GPU for the budget gamer. If you don't want 60 fps at every game and you are content with 40-50 fps, this GPU will do the work. Best if combined with G-Sync.

Excellent

it works fine, ihave it...good gpu for a budget, even though a 970 would benifit more depending on you're specs.

Excellent

Was a fine GPU for my use case currently (gaming at medium-high 1050p). Overclocked and the performance is nearly similar to GTX 1050-Ti but lacks 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM that the GTX 1050-Ti has (GTX 1050 has 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM). If you're upgrading your GPU or is building the new rig, not worth for the price while you can just buy the RX 570 4GB and gets nearly double of performance of this GPU.

Excellent

Same price as the rx 570, just 60% worse performance

Terrible

The GTX 1050 is a terrible value. Spend less and get about 80% better performance with an AMD Radeon RX 570.

Good

Sure it's not super amazing and can't run Real Life™ at 100 million fps at 8K, but for a budget card it's really good.

Good

It's cool, quiet, and reasonably priced on the used market while still offering reasonable entry-level performance as of early 2020. I've been using mine while I clean up my heavily used 1070Ti, and I was expecting a lot worse to be honest. Its a good entry-level 1080p or 'E-Sport' card, running most things on 'low' settings at 1080p just fine. It even managed to run 'Medium' 1080p settings on Metro Exodus at 45 to 60fps, although hairworks and tesselation were both turned off. Still impressive for a budget card in a demanding title. Highly recommended card if you can find it cheap, and overclocks reasonably well too - start at about 150MHz clock and 200MHz memory in afterburner with a small bump of 5% to voltage and 7% to power.

Excellent

I've got the Asus Dual Cooler version, and works like a charm. The GTX 1050 might not be the perfect card for everyone, and might struggle to run some games in settings higher than medium, but it works great for all E-Sport titles, and does an excellent job with older games, both AAA and Indies. Tried it in some newer games and it still holds up pretty well, compared to other better cards. It's a great GPU to pair with a cheap CPU like an i3, or a Pentium G4560.

Poor

Gpu with poor Vram size (2GB) only good for low settings on moderns games, to notice : the 3GB variant is more powerful than the 2GB variant

Good

idk why they say it has poor benching when it is the budget king of gaming...

Good

Good budget option, but in 2023, it's starting to get outdated. Most models, having 2GB, doesn't help. But, for some of the prices nowadays (As low as $50), it's not that bad.

Consumes only about 65 W of power under full load. It is very compact and works without additional power connector, and yet can run many favorite games at respectable 60+ FPS on 1080p.

Good

good GPU if you want to play games on medium/low settings you can get 60+ FPS

Excellent

Good

love the low profile version.

Good

Cheap alternative to the 1070 or 1080. Does not provide as much performance. Somewhat struggles on very GPU intensive games like Doom Eternal/2016 and Crucible at low settings, but it is playable. Other games like CS:GO and Titanfall 2 run exceedingly well on medium or high settings. It only has 2 GB of VRAM so texture streaming or medium quality textures will work, but very high resolution textures or displays will probably be incompatible. NVEnc performance (video encoding) is very weak compared to some integrated cards, but overall gaming performance is still very decent. VR performance varies heavily from game to game. Beat Saber runs excellently at 60 FPS or more while other games like Rec Room will never go above 2 FPS. Pros: - Low price, good value - Only uses 75 Watts - Good for lower-end VR titles Cons: - Mild issues running some triple A titles. - NVEnc only performs well at up to 5,600 kbps - Limited VRAM - Only one VGA, HDMI and DisplayPort each. - Terrible performance on higher-end VR titles. Performs best with one monitor at 1080p.

The GTX 1050 is slightly slower than the GTX 1050-Ti by about 10%. it's a 7 year old GPU but still can handle most games in 2023, I wouldn't recommend buying it in 2023 unless you're not a heavy gamer, it can handle games like GTA V, Just Cause 4, Minecraft, Roblox, Valorant and Fortnite in 60+ FPS 1080p/medium, It's a good budget GPU for the games listed above. in comparison it gets twice the performance of a GT 1030, Slightly better than an RX 560, Equal to the GTX 1630, Slightly slower than a GTX 1650-Ti and about half the performance of a GTX 1650 Super
