Average Bench: 129% (5th of 621)

Based on 1,720 user benchmarks.  Device: 10DE 1E81 Model: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER

The high performance ray-tracing RTX 2080 Super follows the recent release of the 2060 Super and 2070 Super, from NVIDIA’s latest range of refreshed Turing RTX GPUs. The 2080 Super is a higher binned version of the original RTX 2080 which it replaces at the same price of $700 USD. In terms of specification changes between the two, the 2080 has 2944 CUDA cores, compared to 3072 in the 2080 Super, core and boost clocks have increased from 1515 MHz and 1710 MHz to 1650 MHz and 1815 MHz, respectively, memory bandwidth has increased from 14 Gbps to 15.5 Gbps and the TDP has increased from 215 W to 250 W. This translates to a roughly 10% effective speed advantage over the original 2080. Competition in this price bracket is in the form of the AMD’s Radeon VII, over which, early benchmarks suggest, the 2080 Super commands a 15% effective speed advantage. The RTX 2080 Super however, is not a value champion and those seeking more bang for their buck may do well to consider AMD’s recent $400 USD RX 5700 XT (which has just a 10% lower effective speed) or indeed, NVIDIA’s own $500 USD RTX 2070 Super (which has 17% lower effective speed).  [Jul '19 GPUPro]

I love this card so far. I dont understand all the hate behind it though, because if I was going to buy a 2080 non super anyways, why not just go with the Super version? Seems like a no brainer to me...

NOT a good improvement, but atleast AN improvement over the 2080.

cost way too much for what u get

I got excited thinking this was going to beat the 2080 TI for a normal MSRP of $700. Then I see it is only 4% faster than my 1080 TI. Guess I won't be upgrading for yet another 2 years. I bought the 980 TI then the 1080, then the 1080 TI since all were significant upgrades each time. I sold my used cards on eBay to offset the cost of a new purchase. I've had the 1080 TI for almost 2 years now and not even the 2080 TI looks interesting. Such a waste of money to buy an RTX card.

It's a slightly faster 2080, at the 2080's price point. What's not to like?

Excellent

Better performance than 2080 for the same price as a 2080. I was gonna buy a 2080 anyway, so free fps gain.
