Average Bench: 33.4% (163rd of 714)

Based on 83,027 user benchmarks.  Device: 1002 6939 Models: AMD Radeon (TM) R9 380, AMD Radeon R9 300, AMD Radeon (TM) R9 380 Series (Engineering Sample - WDDM v2.0)

The AMD R9 380 succeeds the Tonga based R9 285. The only difference between the two cards is a tiny 2% GPU clock increase on the R9 380 but for the most part, the R9 380 is identical to the R9 285. We only have one sample of the R9 380 so far and comparing benchmarks between the R9 380 and R9 285 shows that the two cards are indeed very close. Unlike with several of the other AMD R9 300 series re-badges, the MSRP has actually dropped on the R9 380 to $199. This card could be a strong value contender if prices drop much below $200. [Jun '15 GPUPro]

decent card, but amd has a bad green screen crash problem.

Noisy, power hungry and horrible value.

Found one of these relatively cheap on Aliexpress relative to today's ruined GPU market. Much better value than a 1050ti for "enough to be playable" performance on 1080p at almost any game.

Very capable 1080p from high to ultra details settings. 7950 - r9 280 - r9 285 - r9 380 age like wine! still way better than 1050ti or rx560

second hand of this very cheap (40$)

Powerful, doesnt heat so much, cheap, and better than a rx560 or a 1050ti, but it is noisy and power hungry.

I love my MSI R9 380 GAMING 4GB. Perfectly GPU .Very good a price, high quality, low temperature and low noise. At the moment is ok and in 2019 new games is great for 1080p - let's shatter that GTX 770

Amazing performacen and a very low price

Good

Great value GPU, the only downfall is that the Gigabyte G1 model has very aggressive power saving which might interfere with keeping 3D clocks at or above base clock.

Exellent performance per dollar, above GTX 960, i use this GPU on Battlefront at Ultra and i got more than 50 FPS. perfect for 1080p budget pc.

The R9 380 is a very good graphics better than the 1050TI even being 2 years older, it is a little obsolete today with modern games but generally good.

Good

Never gave me trouble in all my time having it. A good mid-range gpu for its time. Now outdated and not worth purchasing compared to newer models.

Terrible

Drivers on this trash gpu still don't play x265 video properly consistently, (on ANY of 5 video players using Win7) while the much lower rated GTX 750 does so perfectly on all players tested.

Outstanding

Excellent card. Gains a lot of performance trough overclocking. And the temperatures and power consumption don't go up all that much by OCing

Excellent

A solid performer, good value for the price and furthermore if on sale!

replaced an old GTX460 three years ago, it was a second hand @180€, so excellent ratio perf/price, and silent.
