Average Bench: 209% (2nd of 651)

Based on 29,939 user benchmarks.  Device: 10DE 2206 Model: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

Nvidia’s 3080 GPU offers once in a decade price/performance improvements: a 3080 offers 60% more performance than a 2080 at the same MSRP. Given the widespread issues AMD users are facing with 5000 series GPUs (blue/black screens etc.), it is unlikely that AMD would have posed any direct threat to Nvidia’s market share this year. Nvidia’s price cuts are more likely related to upcoming console updates. The seven year old hardware in both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 is due an update later this year. Whatever the motivation behind Nvidia’s price cuts, Christmas has come early for PC gamers who can look forward to an unparalleled gaming experience, several tiers higher than both AMD's best discrete GPUs (edit: 6000 series released) and the upcoming consoles. [Sep '20 GPUPro]

An impressive leap in price/performance but right now this chaotic launch makes it hard to properly review this gen.

Was expecting higher performance than 12% better than the 2080 TI, but it's still significantly better than my 1080 TI so I'm still interested. It is 48% faster than 1080 TI and 63% faster than the 2080.

Only 12% better than the 2080 ti? Does not seem right.

How can you expect to see this RTX3080 GPU shine when first you put it in an AMD and second you put it in an AMD with RAM running at 2400mhz, I mean atleast turn XMP on before you start the benchmark and tidy up your drives.

Good

You have to remember, that the card wasn't overclocked at all... along with not having any new drivers preset for the card. The performance will be higher than 12% on the 2080 ti.
