The RTX 3050 is built on NVIDIA’s Ampere architecture. It marks the first time that ray-tracing has been available on an entry level (50-series) card. Second generation ray tracing cores can be switched on for more realistic light simulation, albeit at a hit to performance. The 3050 features 2560 CUDA cores, a boost clock frequency of 1.78 GHz, 8 GB of the latest GDDR6 memory and NVIDIA’s DLSS. DLSS technology uses the 3050’s tensor cores to scale up resolutions whilst maintaining high frame rates and without losing significant image quality. The 3050 also includes an encoder (NVENC) for sharper images and smoother capture whilst recording/streaming. The MRSP of entry models is $249 USD, however, street prices are closer to $600 USD. Early benchmarks show that the 3050 only headlines around 50% faster than AMD's 6500 XT whilst street prices for the 3050 are over 100% higher. Many experienced users simply have no interest in buying AMD cards, regardless of price. AMD’s neanderthal marketing tactics seem to have come back to haunt them. Their brazen domination of social media platforms including youtube and reddit resulted in millions of users purchasing sub standard products. all the people complaining are just the usual suspects. GPU is good, 90-120 FPS 1080P, Diablo 4 Ultra with basic ray tracing is smooth. Can run 1440p on medium settings at 60 FPS. Very close to the 1660 super. GTX 3050 will give you slightly higher FPS but the super has a faster and larger bus load. Very good budget choice but their are other good options at similar price point. This card comes in both 6GB and 8GB variants, mine is the 8GB. Quiet and no over heating. Card also had DLSS

For 300€ graphic is good, play most games ultra/high settings at 1080p. Good alternetive is AMD RX 6600, or for little more money RX 6600 XT for 400€

It has great potential, but the RX 6600, which usually becomes cheaper or the same price as the RTX 3050's MSRP ($249.99) beats this GPU. It also doesn't help when it didn't beat the RTX 2060 and its super variant.

the newest rtx 3000 gpu that comes with a great msrp of 250$ it gets much better performance than the new rx 6500xt that cost 50$ less gets supportet raytraycing and dlss

for 329 in todays market, and the ability to overclock even further than the stock "xc" overclock by another 200-300mhz, this is a great replacement for any 2060 owner looking to sidestep into the world of 30 series cards

If you're coming from a crappy low end old gpu, this is the perfect gpu for you. Coming from a previous GT 730 2GB DDR3, this is the best upgrade you can do for your pc and yourself.
