The R7 260X was introduced on 2013 as a budget gaming card, replacing the Radeon HD 7790, with a perfomance closer to the older HD 7850 when compared this card has a cutdown on the memory bus that may put it in problems when using any kind MSAA on 1080p. Supports DirectX 12 and Vulkan. This card still a great choice for budget gaming on Medium settings, its real perfomance is in between the GT 1030 GDDR5 and the GTX 1050 2GB.

with the correct ram manufacturer, aka hynix and a voltage overclock capable design, and a strong cooling solution, this is a powerful and futureproof gpu, 1625 base memory clock that could be pushed to 1750 and a core clock of 1188 that could be pushed to 1300, which made this 5 year gpu as fast & as strong as the 2gb RX460
