mine works well for even newer games

Better colour, better brilliance. MY R 9280X crashed after years. Have now the GTX 1060, 6GB but it has not the quality of the Radeon.

Good

Its held up great over the years, even now in 2018 it can still play the latest games at medium-high at 1080p. Great budget card!

I have Sapphire R9 280X Toxic Edition. Factory Overclocked and better performance than the standard 280X. Not as widely available and cost upwards of £200, performance is more in line with the R9 290 reference card, at times exceeding it.—May '15

My card failed itself -- vertical gray lines and windows crashes after Welcome screen, only opens in safe mod with horizontal colored lines on the screen everywhere. It was a good card for its time but now it is outdated and new drivers are making it worse and worse everyday.

Used this GPU for a long time. Cheap and works with everything at minimum 40fps on max graphics. Only downside is the 3GB of VRAM a little lacking when playing modern ish games like GTA5.

It really depends on what your playing. I mean this guy is still great for playing DOOM (vulkan API) on high settings.

Even though it was released in 2013 it can still be used to play most modern games at acceptable framerates. 10/10 would buy it again.

Great graphics card that can still run games at 1080p. I plan on building a new PC soon but this one served me well for years.
