Average Bench: 108% (25th of 652)

Based on 292,752 user benchmarks.  Device: 1002 731F Model: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT

Out of the box the reference 5700 XT has high burst speeds but under load it overheats and therefore drops frames to the extent that it is more or less unusable for demanding games like PUBG. In order to settle the card it was under volted by 120 mV and the maximum clock was lowered to 1,980 MHz (the stock BIOS and 19.9.1 driver defaulted the card to 2,030 MHz). The fan curve also had to be turned up to around 50% power at 75 degrees (which is a lot noisier than stock). After making these changes the card delivered far more consistent performance albeit with a reduced top speed and unacceptable (hair dryer) levels of noise. There were also incompatibilities with GTAV: enabling reflection MSAA resulted in very poor, almost matt, reflection fidelity (the same bug appeared on several Navi and Vega cards). The reference 5700 XT is great for beating benchmarks, but it is not so great for playing games. Thousands of people purchased the reference card expecting flagship performance, instead they got a shopping trolley with a V6 engine. It appears that the same marketing tactics were employed for the reference Vega 56 and 64 series of graphics cards which we will purchase for our gaming lab and generate effective Fps gaming metrics as soon as possible (results here). AMD appear to have very short term marketing strategists at the helm, they seem more concerned with this years bonuses than the longevity of the brand. [Jul '19 GPUPro]

Had initial problems getting my computer to realize it was plugged in, but easily fixed it by going to AMD's website and downloading the latest drivers.

Experienced gamers avoid AMD for a reason... A bus company with drunk drivers can’t win long term users with paid reviews.

Review needs to take into account the improvement made in newer versions of the bios, and the improved cooling present on partner cards.

Great card, runs everything I need. But get Red devil, Nitro+ or Pulse , reference version is loud and not very good. My undervolted nitro + runs at 50C idle and 65 while gaming in mini 13L case, its silent.

Nearly unbeatable in terms of price per performance. This GPU rivals Nvidia RTX 2070S while costing around several dollar or hundred dollar less, but you're going to need a bigger PSU to accommodate this power hungry GPU but the price per performance negate that disadvantage.

This is an amazing graphics card for 1080p144Hz gaming. There are a few crashes occasionally, but not to a degree where the gaming experience become unenjoyable. I've had this card for about 2 months now, and I've been mostly satisficed. With a bit of tuning, this card can be undervolted and overclocked to be just as good as Nvidia's offerings, if not better. This graphics card is outstanding in terms of value, especially if you manage to pick up an open-box or used one like I did. For $275, I am happy with my purchase.

I am shocked at how powerful this card is, even with the blower on it. This card shows how great the future 5800 / 5900 cards will be. Great performance with a simple 'power slider up 50%' while turning down the voltage a smidge. Beats out the 1080ti for value and performance, which is saying quite a lot.

Upgraded to the 5700-XT from the RX 590 (after an awesome experience with the 590, I moved it to my secondary rig replacing a GTX 1050 Ti which I sold on). It's a fantastic card, capable of 60FPS minimum,1440p with ease. Runs a little hot, but a reasonable case set up for cooling is more than sufficient. For the price I paid (£329.99) the "bang for the buck" factor is absolutely on point.

I have the XFX Thicc edition XT, and while it performs well, I had a DOA and needed to return and order another one. What ATI (XFX?) seem to lack is quality control. I used to have very dependable XFX cards from the 7700 -era which were still functioning last year, despite the many years of abuse I have put them through. My complaint is the size of this card is giant and it sags, but otherwise it's a monster and requires at least 700W PSU to stay on the safe side.

Excellent

The best card for the money. It's 400 dollars and compared to the 2080-super, when a slight overclock is put onto this card, it outperforms an average 2080-super for half the price.

Poor

Lots of power, lots of issues. While the RX5700XT is probably unbeatable for sheer computing power per dollar right now, the horrible, ancient drivers make the cards unbearable to use. I was getting massive tearing when using FreeSync, and the display driver frequently crashed. The fan design isn't nearly as bad / noisy as it's sometimes made out to be tough.

Judging by the comments on this card from roughly a year ago I wouldn't have enjoyed it much then due to AMD's notoriously crummy drivers and this card specifically being plagued with issues. I'm glad to report the driver woes were taken care of before I got my card. So far the card is eating up whatever I'm throwing at it, I'm a 1080p gamer so I don't think I'll ever *really* put the card to the test but I'm incredibly happy with this cards ability to keep my frame rates where I need them for a 144Hz monitor. If you can find one of these secondhand and get yourself a bit of a discount by going with a used card I'd suggest you take that route.

Excellent

Absolute BEAST best price/performance ever. I can run ANY game at 1080p ABSOLUTE max settings and get 120-144 fps. I can get around 70-80 at 1440p. Also, I got this for $320 while the Nvidia counterpart costs $500+...
