really good gpu, and i know that this is a tall order, but (even optimized) minecraft shaders run kinda like poopoo doodoo

VERY SOLID GPU performance. Can run most games on 1080p high to ultra settings at 60 FPS or more. For demanding AAA titles, will need to drop graphic settings to medium for stable frame rates. Tested many popular games, getting 70 to 120 FPS on GTA 5, Battlefield 3/4/5, League of Legends, Fortnite, PUBG, Rocket League, Valorant, Minecraft, Call of Duty Warzone, Counterstrike, etc. On Red Dead Redemption 2 only got 40-50 FPS on medium settings. Will also try Battlefield 2042, Cyberpunk 2077, Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Good enough to run anything today. Could be better but there are good discounts for laptops with 17inches with these.

The 3050ti has good performance for its price but 4GB of vram is just not enough. Nvidia gone backwards making this gpu. The only thing that helps this gpu increase the performance is RTX. It does perform like a 1660ti mobile on a higher tgp like 80 or 90w or even 115w (rog only) I would still choose 3050ti because its an rtx gpu which has good features like dlss and ray tracing it has 4gb of vram but you can still lower the resolution and enable dlss which increases the resolution. I dont know if shared memory helps it personally i have 3.7gb of shared memory and i will test out how it helps in games like fh5 or cyberpunk or even control. The rtx 3050ti is GOOD anyway and its between mid-high tier—Jan '22

With this price, with this benchmark, with GDDR6 4gb? You should also consider 2060, which is 20 series, but at least have 6gb VRAM and 15% better performance.

The RTX 3050-Ti is Nvidia's newest Ampere-based mobile GPU. It aims to bring ray tracing, DLSS, and other RTX features to average consumers. The 3050-Ti is now commonly found in laptops around the $800 range, which is about $200 less than most RTX 3060 laptops. With the price decrease comes compromises, namely the reduction of VRAM. 4GB of VRAM is quickly becoming obsolete for newer AAA games. Without a sufficient amount of VRAM, games can have unstable frametimes and lower framerates, as well as blurry or choppy scenes in game. Compared to the Turing-based 1650-Ti, the 3050-Ti does offer a ~35% increase in performance, as well as ray tracing and DLSS. This is a healthy increase in performance, and means that the 3050-Ti will be able to tackle some newer games. However, with that being said, the 3060 6GB does offer a near 50% increase in performance compared to the 3050-Ti, and it makes more sense for most users to spend a few hundred more dollars for a laptop with a RTX 3060.

too pricey, a rtx 2060 is cheaper and better. In my region the 3060 is cheaper so I would go for the 3060 lol. btw the 3050 ti is comparable to the gtx 1660ti (mobile)

i have it, it fits my needs perfectly, no problems
