Terrible, terrible GPU. Maybe I didn't expect it to run RDR 2 or Death Stranding with decent performance, but it has problems also with very old games. Although King's Bounty Legends runs all right overall, there is still microstuttering, same with Grim Dawn. Moreover, this laptop tends to overheat almost all the time, reaching quite often even 90 degrees. The only games I played that didn't overheat this GPU was Empire Earth (for obvious reasons) and Icewind Dale: EE (again, quite old game with a just a little graphical upgrade). Beware.

Couldn't be worse. Lots of heat for barely 30 fps in forza horizon 3 on medium settings in 1080p. Avoid it if you actually plan on gaming.

Pretty powerful for a laptop at the expense of reasonable power drain

Primarily because nvidia and laptop manufacturers refuse to mention outright if a GPU is Max-q. There is 10-15% reduction in the performance of Max-q variations. This is almost like cheating.
