Based on 1,459,281 user benchmarks.  Device: 10DE 1B81 Model: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

The GTX 1070 is Nvidia’s second graphics card (after the 1080) to feature the new 16 nm Pascal architecture. As a result of the die shrink from 28 to 16 nm, Pascal based cards are more energy efficient than their predecessors. The GTX 1070 is rated at just 150 Watts. In terms of performance the gap between the flagship 1080 and 1070 averages 25%. Both GPUs have 8GB of DDR5 and although they share the same processing core (GP104), the 1070 has 25% of its resources disabled. Comparing performance between the 1070 and legendary GTX 970 shows that the newer 1070 wins by a whopping 50%. The GTX 1070 has only just hit the market so, at least for the time being, prices are significantly over the Founders Edition MSRP of $450 but Nvidia have stated that they expect third party cards to sell from $379 at which time the 1070 will likely dominate as the value for money leader[Jun '16 GPUPro]

Good average bench

The Nvidia GTX 1070 averaged 20.2% lower than the peak scores attained by the group leaders. This is an excellent result which ranks the Nvidia GTX 1070 near the top of the comparison list.

Been using it since new. Probably the best car for 1440p if you can find one second hand. It's cool, quiet and runs everything smooth. I don't really care if it can't reach 400fps in csgo or LoL. If it does 70+ fps in games I play with max settings. I'll be happy for another few years. —Feb '23

An incredible video card, despite having been on the market for years, it never ceases to amaze the performance it can deliver when playing, it has undoubtedly aged very well, so far there is nothing it can't handle.

I have the 1070 mini which is cool AF lol Ive owned 2x1080 and a 1080ti, both by GIGABYTE. I had sold the 1080ti when prices jumped up as I couldn't resist considering I paid less than retail for it because it was supposedly broken but I guess I managed to fix it. Anyways, when I seen that the 1070 had finally come down in price I bought two of them for less than 300$! I have one installed now but might go for Sli. When I had my 2x1080 in Sli Shadow of War played so amazing that it looked like a crazy 4k dream even though I was playing in regular 1080p I think? I do have an ASUS 144hz monitor tho so I know that helped but anyways, the Sli is cool for some games but the power wasted vs. performance is just stupid so Ill probably just keep one installed for now. 1070 is the best GPU for price vs. performance as of now unless you can get a 1080ti for super cheap! If you already have a 1070 dont upgrade to the 1070ti, just keep your regular 1070! If you dont have a 1070 yet buy a 1070 ti! If you can afford it buy a 1080ti haha

I bought the REV 1.0 of the Gigabyte GTX 1070 back in 2016, which ended up breaking (severe artifacting). The REV 2.0 of the Gigabyte GTX 1070 is what I've had for about 3 years now and it has never failed me. Will run any game you need at high settings with high frame rates. However, if you have about $20 more to spend on a GTX 1070 TI, go ahead and get the TI because it has a better price-to-performance ratio.

It's an absolutely amazing card that works well while being paired near anything that is considered mid-high tier. I can say by experience that It can run all my games at the highest settings at 100+ FPS. Only in very few games or a select few would I receive high 50 or around 60 FPS at the max settings, which goes to show that this GPU can run just about anything you throw at it. Overall I believe that this card has aged very well and is an absolutely amazing performing card. The only reason to not get this is age and better options with the new series of NVIDIA cards. As of this moment, this is just the best performing card I have dealt with in my life.

Excellent

Back in 2016/2017 it was a great deal, enabling 1440p gaming. At 2018/2019 for MSRP it is not that good. The customers are expecting more and a successor in the same price range is needed.

One of the better price to peformance cards to go with for high FPS 1080p gaming, or mid-high 1440p. (Other than maybe the 980 Ti as those go for cheaper, but would also lose out on driver support earlier than the 1070).

Great card for the price. Bought mine last year while prices were dropping and RTX was being announced. Can handle 4k60 with many titles, and the more demanding titles I play at 1440p60 easily. If it can't do either of those, it's a poorly optimized game. Highly recommend.
