Average Bench: 56.9% (117th of 713)

Based on 122,060 user benchmarks.  Device: 1002 67DF Model: Radeon RX 590

AMD’s mid-range RX 590 is the latest refresh of their Polaris-based RX 580, which in turn was a refresh of the RX 480. This iteration yields 10% higher clock speeds compared to the RX 580 which is fuelled by an increased power draw from 185W to 225W. The 590 does not have a 4GB variant which is good for longevity. At launch the 590 was priced at $280, which was 20% more expensive and 7% faster than Nvidia’s then popular 6GB 1060. In today’s market the 590 can be found for little as $170. For more than 90% of gamers (≤1080p) the RX 590 (at $170) represents the best value for money available. Since the GPU is by far the most important component in a gaming PC, it is usually worth spending more on it. The next step up from a 590 would be to Nvidia’s comparable $230 1660S. The 1660S is a more refined card, less heat results in less fan noise, but both are capable of delivering silky smooth 60+ EFps in almost all of today’s popular games at 1080p with maximum details. [Nov '19 GPUPro]

Card crashes all the time, black screen, crazy noisy fans seem to run at max no matter what game I have open. Saphirre Pulse, tried 3 cards, this was the best of them—Apr '21

often reboots stystem when playing different games, different genres all set to low-med graphics settings, sometimes as quick as loading into the game or I can be playing for an hour or so before it happens. Running the latest drivers since I bought the card—Jan '21

perfomance good enough, but driver crashes regularly (all drivers since years)

Have it here, massive driver issues since i first installed it half a year ago. I simply can't recommend a card that is constantly having driver issues, even after doing everything possible to fix it. —Dec '20

It is as powerful as I was expecting to but there's a huge problem of heat !! This things is always at 65°C or even 75°C on some games. So sometimes, I have to Undervolt it on some games and I have less performance than expected :/ The fans make a big noice which is very annoying when you're trying to "tryhard" on some games like R6S I think this is a good choice if you have a watercooling or a very good airflow

Just a bit more of a step up from the lower end RX580 card, but if you're looking for more mid-range performance, go with the 5600XT or the 1660S. For more budget options go with the 1650S or RX580. Good card though if you want a balanced mix of budget and performance.

Crazy power levels - even more than a 2080! Just get a 5500XT or even better a 1650S/1660S!

A cheap middle range like the RX 580 .. the same with higher clock ? ... I payd less than 120 euro...

upgrading from a msi gaming GTX 960 2GB overclocked at 1544Mhz core and 2000Mhz Memory. I have absolutely no regrets or sorrow for that matter simply because the RX 590 destroys the 960 in performance. a great card for its price tag. now i can finally enjoy high - ultra 1080p gaming!
