its best option since 1650 Super is out of stock

Slightly better than the RX 570/580/590, it's a very good 1080p card. It won't disappoint you and will handle any game you throw at it at 1080p. Still be careful about not overpaying for this one and don't get it if you plan to game at a higher resolution or at a very high refresh rate.

Too expensive for the performance you get. Terrible value if you're looking to upgrade from a Polaris card.

My rx 5500 has more fans therefore i think that its better than the gtx 1650 super. Rx 5500 is quite amazing

A good budget card from AMD but the 1650S is better and consumes less as in Nvidia fashion. The Polaris lineup is still more attractive.

Judging by the benchmark scores, this GPU may or may not be an overclocked or little bigger cousin of the original RX 5500.

Filled with driver issues, and the 8GB model is similar to a 1660, nearly 1660S in price!

The RX 5500-XT 4GB is an entry-level GPU that can be obtained for about $160-180 USD. It is AMD's counterpart to Nvidia's 1650 Super. However, the 5500XT tends to be undermined by the RX 580 8GB and the GTX 1650 Super. The RX 580 8GB delivers similar performance at a similar price, but with an extra 4GB of VRAM. Nvidia's GTX 1650 Super is both more energy-efficient and has an NVEnc encoder. Considering this, the RX 5500XT is stuck in a relatively bad spot. Lastly but not least, the $200 RX 5500XT 8GB is also not a great choice, since you can easily buy a slightly better-performing GTX 1660 6GB for a similar price.

Personally, I say this card beats any Polaris card thrown at it, anything with gcn doesn’t stand a chance against this thing. Great for budget gaming at 1080p 120hz, on high-med settings. Nvidia’s only real counter is the 16 series, but this beats 1650/1650s, and is cheaper than 1660/1660s/1660ti

AMD's new 1080p GPU, the RX 5500 XT, comes with two versions: 4GB and 8GB. The 4GB model is retailed at $169, and the 8GB model for $229, respectively. Supposedly, it rivals against NVIDIA's GTX 1650 Super, which retails at $159. According to benchmarks, the GTX 1650 Super and the RX 5500 XT have relatively the same performance, but more user samples are needed to get an accurate comparison. Price-wise, the GTX 1650 Super is a much more better value than the RX 5500 XT. However, Polaris cards are still being sold by retailers and have a much lower price than the GTX 1650 Super and the RX 5500 XT. For starters, getting an RX 590 for 8GB VRAM and an RX 580 is a better value if you can find one cheaper than the GTX 1650 Super; if not, then the GTX 1650 Super. Unfortunately, despite it being a low power-consumption GPU, the GTX 1650 Super beats it in terms of power consumption. I was astonished when AMD released their RX 5700 series in the market, but I was disappointed when their RX 5500 series was released.

A very good card for 1080p gaming, performing admirable on all recent titles and rarely reaching 70C degrees. Better alternative than the 1650S in 2020.

Right now the nvidia options are pricier, and this option still has great performance. In workstation (things like video editing) Radeon often comes out on top, which fits my needs perfectly. Do note that the drivers have been a bit unstable in the past, but I just installed the new ones and everything seems perfect.
