The GTX 1650 supersedes NVIDIA’s two year old 1050, outperforming it by around 52%. It features a TU117 processor based on the latest Turing architecture, which is a reduced version of the TU116 in the GTX 1660. The 1650 has 896 NVIDIA CUDA Cores, a base/boost clock of 1485/1665 MHz and 4GB of GDDR5 memory running at up to 8Gbps. The reference version has a low (75W) power consumption and higher power variants are available with greater overclocking headroom. At a list price of USD $150, this card is the cheapest Turing based graphics card available, however, in the budget market where “value for money” reigns supreme, AMD’s two year old RX 570 8GB outperforms the 1650 by around 15%, has double the memory (therefore is more future proof) and can often be found cheaper. NVIDIA will have to discount prices significantly in order to draw budget gamers to the GTX 1650. [Apr '19 GPUPro]

MORE DETAILS

Whilst the drought in the GPU market continues, street prices for AMD cards are around 50% lower than comparable (based on headline average fps figures) Nvidia cards. Many experienced users simply have no interest in buying AMD cards, regardless of price. The combined market share for all of AMD’s RX 5000 and 6000 GPUs amongst PC gamers (Steam stats) is just 2.12% whilst Nvidia’s RTX 2060 alone accounts for 5.03%. AMD’s Neanderthal marketing tactics seem to have come back to haunt them. Their brazen domination of social media platforms including youtube and reddit resulted in millions of users purchasing sub standard products. Be wary of sponsored reviews with cherry picked games that showcase the wins and ignore the losses. Experienced gamers know all too well that headline average fps are worthless when they are accompanied with stutters, random crashes, excessive noise and a limited feature set. [Jan '22 GPUPro]

 Frequently Asked Questions

 Best User Rated

Why does UserBenchmark have a bad reputation on reddit?
Marketers operate thousands of reddit accounts. Our benchmarks expose their spiel so they attack our reputation.
Why don’t PC brands endorse UserBenchmark?
Brands make boatloads on flagships like the 4090 and 14900KS. We help users get similar real-world performance for less money.
Why don’t youtubers promote UserBenchmark?
We don't pay youtubers, so they don't praise us. Moreover, our data obstructs youtubers who promote overpriced or inferior products.
Why does UserBenchmark have negative trustpilot reviews?
The 200+ trustpilot reviews are mostly written by virgin marketing accounts. Real users don't give a monkey's about big brands.
Why is UserBenchmark the gold standard for users?
Instead of pursuing brands for sponsorship, we've spent 13 years publishing real-world data for users.
