Average Bench: 40.6% (80th of 630)

Based on 15,397 user benchmarks.  Device: 10DE 1F82 Model: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

The GTX 1650 supersedes NVIDIA’s two year old 1050, outperforming it by around 52%. It features a TU117 processor based on the latest Turing architecture, which is a reduced version of the TU116 in the GTX 1660. The 1650 has 896 NVIDIA CUDA Cores, a base/boost clock of 1485/1665 MHz and 4GB of GDDR5 memory running at up to 8Gbps. The reference version has a low (75W) power consumption and higher power variants are available with greater overclocking headroom. At a list price of USD $150, this card is the cheapest Turing based graphics card available, however, in the budget market where “value for money” reigns supreme, AMD’s two year old RX 570 8GB outperforms the 1650 by around 15%, has double the memory (therefore is more future proof) and can often be found cheaper. NVIDIA will have to discount prices significantly in order to draw budget gamers to the GTX 1650. [Apr '19 GPUPro]

Nvidia 1650 (2019) compared to AMD Radeon R5 (2014), its a no brainer really...

It's a brand new card that can't compete with nearly 4 year old AMD cards in power and price. Very disappointed.—Apr '19

This GPU is big NO NO. But exceptions are OEM build upgrading with proprietary PSU and low powered card upgrade. In other cases buy RX 570 and PSU (only needed if yourcan't handle it)

Good ONLY for upgrading computers with proprietary PSU or if you need low profile video card. In the remaining cases it is too expensive to buy, because you can buy RX 570 and good PSU (If you already don't have it) for lower price, and this will give you more performance.

An overpriced and underperfoming card. An RX 570 which is 30 dollars cheaper is a better card. Definetly not worth it. If you really want one wait for the 1650S to balance out the price to performance ratio. Don't get me wrong it's a great card but overpriced.

Very power-efficient card at a sub-570 performance, but the pricing is disadvantageous and frankly peculiar at 169MSRP. This position should be reserved for the 1650 Ti...

If the GTX 1650 was priced at $100-120 (USD), then it would be a very compelling product. However, with a launch price of $150, it is not competitive against the better performing and less expensive AMD Radeon RX 570. If you're okay with less performance for more money, then the only justifiable reason to buy this GPU is for its efficiency (performance-per-watt). As most reviewers have already concluded, this latest offering from NVIDIA is virtually DOA (dead on arrival), barring a significant price drop. Additionally, unlike all of the other Turing (16 and 20 Series) cards, this one uses the previous generation NVENC encoder, further decreasing its value proposition. The GTX 1650 joins the GTX 1050 Ti as one of the worst value graphics cards on the market, only slightly redeemed by the fact that it is, somewhat ironically, a better value than the latter at current prices. Even so, if you're looking for the best cost-to-performance, your money is better spent on the aforementioned RX 570.

Compared to the RX570, you get very noticeable performance gains for $30-40 less. Just go for the RX570.

Average

Would really recommend an RX 580 if you can afford it.

Poor

Compared to the RX 570, this GPU is very weak and expensive for the price. AMD easily crushes Nvidia via the RX 570, which has a better value.

Terrible

Terrible

Way too overpriced at launch. Better buy something else.

Poor

It is too expensive for its performance.

Average

It's a decent card for lower end systems and functions well when overclocked; however, NVIDIA gave this card too high of a price for its specs, and when compared to the RX 570, it can really be a disappointment. The fact that this still uses the old Volta NVENC encoder really shows that NVIDIA didn't work hard enough on this card since every other Turing GPU has the Turing encoder.
