Average Bench: 68.3% (105th of 714)

Based on 230,793 user benchmarks.  Device: 10DE 2184 Model: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660

NVIDIA's GTX 1660 follows hot on the heels of last month's release of the GTX 1660 Ti. As the name would suggest, the 1660 is a slightly scaled back version of the 1660 Ti. Both feature NVIDIAs's new TU116 Turing based die, have 6GB of VRAM, are without RTX cores and have a power draw (TDP) of 120W. The main differences arise from the number of CUDA cores: the 1660 has 1408 whilst the 1660 Ti has 1536, and memory bandwidth: the 1660 can deliver 8 Gpbs using ubiquitous GDDR5 (as featured in the GTX 1060 3GB and 6GB) versus the 1660 Ti which can deliver 12 Gpbs using newer, faster and dearer GDDR6. The 1660 also features Turing NVENC which is far more efficient than CPU encoding and alleviates the need for casual streamers to use a dedicated stream PC. Early benchmarks show that the GTX 1660 has about a 20% lower effective speed than the 1660 Ti, but with an entry price of $219 USD, the 1660 is also about 20% cheaper. Further, the 1660 has a 12% effective speed advantage over the ~$230 USD 6GB 1060 and a similar real world effective speed to AMD's $265 USD RX 590. NVIDIAs strategy of offering great value Turing products at all price tiers can only be good for competition and consumers. [Mar '19 GPUPro]

Runs practically anything that I play on Ultra and has not had any frame-drops in the time I've been playing. Extremely consistent performance. —Dec '20

it’s a good graphic card and can run very good games if pared with the right cpu and other specs

I bought this card around two years ago now as it was very budget friendly and is even cheaper now. This card can run all the games I play such as NBA 2K and Destiny 2 on the highest setting no problem.

Pretty cost-effective 3d card. It was so cheap when I bought it! now everything went to hell

very good have used it for many years and never had problems with it

Go for the 1660 Super instead if the price is not too different. The 1660 Super offers much better Async compute performance due to increased memory bandwidth

no good price for the performance

Decent budget graphics card. Currently it is usually ~ $10-$20 [usd] more to get the 1660 Super variant which performs closer to a 1660 Ti ($60-$70 more) [usd] I got it for ~ $185 [usd] as an Open Box at Microcenter. 4/5 Stars - Decent 1080p performance for games such as Jedi: Fallen Order. Gets up to 100% utilization playing SWBF2 with Ultra settings on a 1080p 60Hz monitor. Thanks for reading.

i got this GPU and is very very fast and good fps

With some basic overclocking I this card can be about the level of a 1660 Ti, and beat an RX 590. I think its a pretty good option if you want solid 1080p and even 1440p gaming without breaking the bank.

This is a great GPU. It performs extremely well for 1080p gaming. I have paired it with a Ryzen 3 2200G since 2019. I am on 60FPS and happily blasting enemies. I am in the process of upgrading to a new PC so I will soon be testing out a GTX 1660 alongside a Ryzen 5 5600x. EDIT: Paired with the Ryzen 5 5600x, this GPU provides amazing performance.
